Morgan starred in an informational clip Safe Sex for Men and Women on AIDS education and prevention. A portion of the profits were donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the driving force in many fundraising campaigns to fight the spread of the disease. She also spoke before the Congressional special committee on AIDS education. Morgan is on the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to fill in for him at AIDS celebrations and she's been the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to appear twice on Nightline with regard to AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy award winner in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. Morgan co-starred on the ABC TV series Your Money or Your Wife along with Joan Rivers. Then, she began the summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. The show also featured Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Next, she was sent to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the production. Morgan also played in a psychological suspense drama produced exclusively for USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ever ratings for the channel.
